This work recognises the small components we used before microtechnology took over our communications. The discarded electronic components represent two cities—Sydney and Wollongong—and the connection between them. The parts are in small boxes, like museum exhibits, and represent a time gone by. Now, robots make microscopic components. Wollongong has been a manufacturing city, creating the steel to make these objects. It is now the City of Innovation. Sydney has been, and still is, our closest city to benefit from this manufacturing excellence.
